COSMETIC TATTOO PRE-CARE

​

  • Skin must be free of all irritations including ingrown hairs , eczema , blemishes , and psoriasis

  • Absolutely no anti-acne, anti-ageing products, or Retin-A on the skin 30 days prior to application  

  • Absolutely no alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before application

  • DO NOT exercise 24 hours before application

  • Avoid sun and tanning 1 week prior to application

  • If you get sunburn on your face, you must allow at least 4 weeks for it to heal

  • DO NOT take Advil, Aspirin, Aleve, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Ibuprofen 1 week before application

  • Avoid power shakes and power greens, Fish Oil, and "Hair, Skin, Nail" supplements 24 hours prior to procedure (causes blood thinning and heavy bleeding!)

  • No brow waxing, tinting, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels 1 week before application

  • (Let your eye brow hair grow out as long as you can stand it)

  • No Botox for at a minimum of 3 weeks prior to your application and 3 weeks after

  • No chemical peels, Microdermabrasion, or facials for 4 weeks prior application

  • Refrain from use of any Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks after your procedure. Check your moisturizer, facewash BB or CC creams and makeup primers for anything that says acid

  • No Accutane 1 year prior to application

  • No antibiotic use 30 days prior to application

  • Please be well hydrated and eat a light meal within 2-4 hours of your procedure

  • If you had permanent makeup done in the past, you must communicate it

  • Your brow shape will be left up to your brow artist because they measure it based on your face shape and structure so you get the most natural finish. But properly communicate with your brow artist to get your desired fullness

  • The shape of brow is determined by taking measurements on the brow bone using a specialized protractor made for this procedure  

  • If you use Botox, it should be performed either 2 weeks prior to your scheduled appointment or 2 weeks after.

  • Pleases note you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

  •  Pregnant and/or still breastfeeding, diabetic, and nursing clients should avoid the procedure all together

  •  If you are COVID positive or have cold or flu like symptoms

  •  If are positive for Monkey pox

  •  Heart Conditions/Pace Maker/Defibrillator (No exceptions)

  • If you "keloid" scar, you need to ask your doctor (raised scarring)​

 

  • If you are on any of the following medications, you will bleed and the pigment WILL NOT retain

  • Cirrhosis of the Liver (Susceptible to infection)

  •  Surgical Forehead/Brow lift  (Scar tissue will prevent proper healing)

  •  Alopecia (Hair loss due to auto immune disease)

  • (Hair strokes will appear more blurred or blended)

  • Trichotillomania  (Compulsive pulling of body hair)
    (Due to constant pulling, scar tissue is prominent and pigment will not heal properly)

  • Shingles - Have you EVER had shingles on your face  (No exceptions...Your brow artist will not perform the procedure as the procedure could cause a flare up)

  • Eczema, Psoriasis or Dermatitis in or around the brow area (Constant flaking/itching/irritation/shedding of skin)

  • Oily or severely oily skin (The hair strokes will appear more blended, solid or not retain at all)

  • Large pores on your forehead & in the brow area (Pigment will blur/blend in large pores looking powdered)

  • Hemophilia-Bleeding Disorder

  • Menopause (Considered)
    If you have hot flashes during the procedure, the pigment will not retain and we may have to stop.  (You will be required to sign an addendum prior to procedure)

  • Platelet Disorders-Aggregation Disorders
    An aggregation disorder is when platelets do not bind with fibrinogen and other proteins in order to stick to other platelets. As a result the platelets cannot form a plug to stop the bleeding from a damaged blood vessel

  • Moles/raised areas in or around the brow area (Pigment will not be put into anything raised.) 

  • Deep wrinkles in the brow area (The Hair Strokes will not lay properly in the creases, giving  the brow an uneven look)

  • Hair transplant for your eyebrows (Pigment will not take in the scar tissue where the plugs were placed)

  • Thyroid condition and taking medication for this condition (Hypo, Hyper Susceptible, Graves Disease, Hashimotos)

  • Rosacea (severe reddening of the face)

  • Fitzpatrick Skin types 1 (red heads/white skin/light eyes) Due to hypersensitivity the skin does not take the pigment well.

  • On Accutane (acne medicine) within the last year

  • Any type of Organ Transplant or Anti-Rejection Medications

  • Auto Immune Disorder of any kind (MS, RA, Lupus or the like) (Due to the medicines to treat these diseases, pigment will not retain)

  • MRSA (can be very contagious)

  • Extremely Thin skin (Transparent or Translucent or very vascular) 

  • Frequent Exercise (4-7 days per week) (Addendum required)

  • Due to the frequent production of sweat (salt), the pigment WILL NOT retain, fade very   quickly, appear blurred or change in color) THIS WILL HAPPEN!
